This morning as I reflect on our Music Tech Connect event, I feel grateful and blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people. Thank you to everyone who came out to The Levee last night. The weather was beautiful, new friendships were made, under a common theme of collaboration and inclusion. Together we will create an infrastructure that will connect pathways, which will drive innovation and leave this place better than we found it.
During the whirlwind of last night and tight schedules, I did not get the opportunity to introduce my Phenomenal friend, Zola Vernon. For those of you who don’t know Zola, she is an Account Executive for Cadre Information Security over Kentucky and Tennessee, dog rescuer, nature lover, former body builder, and overall amazing human. Zola connects with those around her in a much more personal way than I have ever witnessed. I have observed her go above and beyond the call of “duty” mostly just because she genuinely cares about helping in ways that make our lives easier. People who started out as clients, quickly discovered that they have so much more, a true friend, in Zola. How she makes time to visit a client’s daughter in the hospital, while keeping up with sales quotas and dealing with sometimes devastating situations – I’ll never know. Maybe it’s because Zola loves her job and has a supportive boss (Cadre is a female owned business)… or maybe she has some inner strength that somehow is fed by giving. I’m not sure, but If you are in Information Security, do yourself a favor, reach out to Zola. She has a great team behind her and I promise her work ethic is unmatched.
Thank You Zola and Cadre Information Security for sponsoring the Music Tech Connect – $75 Visa Gift Card and Congratulations to Robin Smith from Code Louisville!
